Creating a Family of Friends

My life feels very different now. I am no longer someone's wife or someone's mother. My children are grown now and they have families of their own. They are busy, so I hardly ever see either of them. I have made some friends in the community and I am feeling pretty good about myself. I have a job that supports me through a local radio station in the marketing department, and I have met a lot of interesting people who are business owners in my community and surrounding communities.

I lost around 30 pounds, so that was a real confidence booster. I have also learned that it is okay to go out to eat all by myself, or go to a movie theater by myself. There are lots of people who do that. Who knows, I might just meet more new friends. I have taken several art classes and created some beautiful things too. Life is going much better now.

I have gotten my house in order, except for the guest room and part of the garage. That will come in time. It feels really good to know that I have a home that I can call my own. It is my sanctuary where I can escape from the world if I want to. I have everything I need in a home. A nice space for me and my little Shih Tzu, not to mention the antiques I have collected over a lifetime.

I also started to build my network marketing business with my former company, but they let me down again. I have since found a new company that I love, and I have updated all of my former blog posts with with what I am doing now for anyone who is looking for a way to pull themselves up and out of their current situation.

Lesson Learned: You can create a new life and rise from the ashes. I am living proof!
