Starting a New Life In a Place I Despised
I totally hated our new house! It was worse than the bungalow style house we had before we bought the farm. The cabinets were junk, and the kitchen sink was an RV sized sink! I had to prepare meals in this kitchen, and it made me hate to cook. The walls in the house were so thin that it felt like a house of cards if the wind blew hard or there was a storm.
We all missed the farm, but I think "Little Man" missed it the most. It was the only place he had ever known. My husband decided to move into the new place because it was near his brother. Right after we moved, his brother and wife moved to a different state!
I hated this life here. There were hardly any trees and the house was in a field in the middle of sun. No matter how hard you tried to cool it, even with central air in the summer time, it just wasn't cool enough. I missed the river, the hills, the woods, the trees, the wildlive, the farm animals, my horse, and especially my beautiful old house that I had worked so hard to fix up. To this day I am still heartbroken and I want to go home to the farm.
Lesson Learned: Sometimes you can never go home again.
