Taking My Best Friend to the Groomers

A few days ago I took my best friend to the groomer. She was so pathetic, and I had cancelled the groomers appointment for December 21st, because that was right after my husband passed away, and I couldn't even bring myself to do the normal activities of living at that point. The soonest appointment I could get after that was on March 10th. My poor dog was running into things because there was so much hair covering her eyes that she couldn't even see.

My groomer and I have known each other for years, and she is a very sweet lady. We usually end up talking for a long time when I take my girl in to get groomed. This time was no different. I had been explaining how difficult things have been lately, and how my husband had left me without even enough money to pay the bills with for December, and told her that I was currently living off of money that had come from the sale of the tractor.

I left the groomers and did a few errands around town. When I went back to pick up my sweet girl, my groomer had her next appointment scheduled already, and we talked for a while. I got my wallet out to pay her, and she said, "Keep it! Everyone needs a blessing sometimes." She made me cry. I am so blessed to know that there are still some good, caring people in the world that are willing to help out a friend... just because they can. :)

Lesson Learned: There are still some good and caring people in the world.
