The World Loses A Great Man and Artist - My Brother
In 2011 my only brother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. They told him that it was in an area that was inoperable and that there was nothing that they could do. I talked to him and told him that he should check into the Cancer Treatment Centers of America. I had heard that they had whole program from treatments, healthy eating, supplementation and even spiritual and emotional programs. He thought that sounded like a good idea. He had retired a year earlier, but wasn't old enough for Medicare. The cancer center said that they couldn't accept him because he didn't have the right kind of healthcare insurance! Are you kidding me?
My brother was handed a death sentence with no hope. Since I am an herbalist and have always tried to do things the natural way with the things that nature provides, I offered to try to do what I could to help him. First I went grocery shopping with him and his wife and told him the things that he should eat, and what to stay away from, like sugar, red meat, processed foods and dairy...all things that add to cancer replicating and spreading.
I also offered to help get him get on some good supplements and enzymes, as well as use an ionic foot detox machine to try to detox the bad stuff out of his body. I had a liquid zeolite product that worked well from 2006 - 2010, but corporate greed took over, and that product was no longer available. I searched for something everywhere that would clean up the toxins in a body like that did. There were some inferior products, but none worked like it did! I had seen more than one instance where when the toxins were removed, the body was able to function better and heal on it's own.
So, not knowing whatelse to do, and knowing that time was of the essence, I suggested that he go see a Naturopathic MD. This man knew the medical as well as holistic treatments available. I told him that I would go with him, and I did.
He started doing hyperbaric oxygen treatments with the naturopath, as well as some other treatments. We worked on his nutrition and getting the toxins out. He just kept losing more weight and had no appetite. He tried as hard as he possibly could. One day when we were doing a detox, he looked at me and said, "Why are you doing this for me? You didn't ask me for a thing in return?" I told him. "That's what you do for someone you love. You're my bother, how could I not help you?" We had a lot of time to talk while we were doing the detoxes. We found out that we were actually quite a lot alike, even though he was 14 years older than me.
My brother loved doing artwork. He loved to draw. He was a silversmith who made his own jewelry. He did leather work and custom tooled motorcycle seats. I also love to do artwork. He and I were the only ones who seemed to have gotten the "Art gene" in our family.
In February 2012 my only brother passed away. I had told him previously that he was like Rocky Balboa and I was like his trainer in the corner. I told him that I would be there for him in his corner no matter what. He just kept hanging on because he felt like he was letting me down. I told him that he didn't let me down, and he fought a great fight. I was right there when he took his last breath letting him know that it was okay to go, and helped him transition to the other side. It was hard, but I wouldn't have done it any other way. FYI - I can now get that liquid zeolite product again! And no others that are knock offs can do what this one does.
Lesson Learned: People don't always realize how much you love them, so we need to make sure to tell them especially when they are healthy and well, and not wait until they get sick.
